Damp Proofing Derby

The method of providing the damp proofing is by the introduction into the walls with a thixotropic 'cream' which will form a barrier against the rising damp. As the 'cream' gradually disperses, it releases a vapour which will react with the silica contained in the masonry in order to form a water repellent resin. As there is no liquid involved, the wall will dry much quicker, and because it isn't pressure injected, there won't be any problems concerning party walls.

It is important to note that the provision of a barrier against rising damp will only prevent further moisture rising from the ground and that all other sources of dampness must be eliminated as well. Our surveyor will advise you on this.
